Pleasing to God: The Call to Church Administration has been written for those who work in administrative roles within the church. It is about finding the Spirit in one’s work and life, recognising administration as a vocation like all others within the church. The author explains how administrative work is a form of service, requiring balance and integrity, and being deserving of inspiration and the same sense of reward and satisfaction enjoyed by those serving in all other ministries within the church. The observations in this publication reflect the 25 years spent in administrative service within the Archdiocese of Sydney and the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference by its author, Father Brian Lucas.
