Living the Holy Mass

Saint Josemaría Escrivá wrote: “When Holy Mass is being said, time ought to stand still”. And it’s true, because all these events happen at the same time: The Last Supper, the Passion of Jesus, his Resurrection and the celebration of the Holy Mass of the altar.

There is only ONE SINGLE MASS. All the Masses are but the same Mass, no matter when and where it happens. Jesus offers himself to God the Father as a Sacrifice for our own sins.

So, do not be just a mere spectator ‘watching’ a stage show. No, we are there, like the Apostles at the Last Supper, like the Holy Women at the foot of the Cross.
